Have a black thumb but want that fresh green plant look in your home? I can totally understand! Over the years I have killed a couple real plants myself, so while I still have a few real ones that have survived, I want that full plant look in our home without having to take care of more plants. Faux plants to the rescue!
You might be like me and have ordered a faux plant, it came, and it looked awful. Paper-like leaves and rubber looking stems. Over the years I’ve become pretty picky about my faux plants and if I receive one that looks super fake, it’s going back. Today I’m going to show you some affordable and real-looking faux plants, and include a few ways I’ve styled them. Some of the items that will be included below are ones I either have in my own home or that I have seen at the store in person.
Now below is my full list of plants that I would recommend purchasing in your home! Some of these might seem pricey, but in all reality they are a great deal for the quality you are getting.
The beauty about buying faux plants like the ones I’ve included, is that these can be used for almost the entire year. Unlike a Christmas tree that is for a couple months, these are plants you can put up right after the holidays and keep them until you are ready for either Fall or Christmas decor. If you aren’t big into seasonal decor, that would be another reason to purchase the above items. I’ve linked all of these faux plants below:
Now you might be wondering, how can you style these different sizes of plants? Some common and great places are:
- The corner in your dining room or the corner of a bedroom. I have two of my largest trees in these spaces.
- Add it a kitchen island or kitchen shelving for a pop of color.
- The front entryway is a fantastic spot for all sizes of faux plants depending on the size of your entryway.
- On floating shelves just about anywhere throughout your home, just make sure the overall size of the plant isn’t larger than the shelves you have. So it the bloom of the plant extends 14″ out but your shelf is only 10″, the plant might be too big.
Here’s a few ways I’ve styled some of these plants in our home:
Faux plants don’t have to look fake. And you don’t have to settle for fake looking ones because of budget! These options I’ve included in today’s post truly are a fantastic deal for real looking greenery. I would love to see how y’all style your greenery, so post them in the comments below or tag me on your social channels!
